Hey all,
Was using my PC fine last night everything working, but the temp probe was reporting 84C for my CPU (AMD X2) and my room was getting hot so I turned it off...

Anyway I turn it all back on tomorow and everything works fine... bar one of my monitors. It simply will not turn on, there is no power light, and trying the lead from my mother monitor returns the same result.....

Monitor is a 19" Belinea 1925S1W, quite old now had it for almost 4 years..

Anyone got any ideas how I can solve this problem?

Thanks,
Jcb33.

Make and model number of the monitor would help. I had a similar problem with my Dell 2405 and managed to fix it for less than £50.

Good point, Belinea 1925S1W 19", old now as I have had it almost 4 years.... but seems odd that having had no problems for all this time, and with the other one still going strong that it would just go poof...

Sooner get it fixed than replaced because my OCD would require me to replace both so they looked neat on the desk... and I am a little broke ATM!

It's likely to be the power board, you'll need to take the monitor apart and get the part # for the power board and then search for availability. No guarantees that you'll be able to get one though.

Right, sent this off to be looked at (By a friend) so hopefully will get some joy.... if not then I will have to research new monitors!

sent you an email in trust ;)

If you're feeling up to it, it's most likely a duff capacitor or two in the monitor. Replace all the big ones (may as well as the ones which haven't failed are probably on their way out) and you (hopefully) will then have a working monitor!

And yes as has already been said, the problem is most likely with the power supply (I'm assuming its an internal one).
