Totally fed up with gaming

I lost appeal of gaming. There's just no good games out at the moment. That I have seen.

MMOs are still click some action button, instead of fps. Although several are in last stages of devlopment.

FPS games seem to of lost teh balance and fun, by either going to much towards realism, or because weapons and/or maps are unbalanced. One reason why ww2 games are usually so much better than modern games, is weapon balance is so much better.

Things like FO3, sim city and the likes are all cheap knock offs of once great game series.

Even things like Supreme Commander 2 and C&C are fun, but nowhere upto the previuse incarnations.

As far as I have seen no good space sims since x3

If anyone cares to recommend me a game, I'm itching to buy something. I think my biggest problem is I am very particular about gaming, but when I find a game I like, I play it for years.

I think that's pretty much it for great games. But most of them I played for years.

Even things like COD WAR or COD 4 are playable but not fantastic.

I've got lots of unplayed or unfinished games around, some from the xmas steam sale and I'm probably going to get some more as well.

I haven't been properly stuck into a game in ages.
 
I still have Crysis Warhead on the shelf cos i'm waiting til i can afford to buy a second 5870 so i can max it out in Eyefinity :) Wil play thru Crysis again first too.
 
Went off gaming ages ago, think when I was younger it was all about fragging and Quake 1, and Quake 2 CTF, went thru my counter strike years and then moved to BF1942 and hooked on that for a long time and then thats when I went off gaming big time !

BF2 got me back into it, ive only just played COD games/crysis games and Supreme Commander 1 got me back into gaming for a good year... got bored after that and didnt bother with SC2 after hearing all the bad vibes from it till today lol

Think ill be waiting for the next COD and moh and crysis 2 this fall and treat myself too a nice new build at sametime oh and Starcraft2:)

I do that! Costs a fortune! Keeping this one though no matter how little use it gets. I'm not making the same mistake fource!
 
I've got to finish DA... but also GOW3 on the PS3.

Mine is that I just don't have as much time as I used too, and tend to have to be engrossed 100 percent or I'll get in the "meh" mood.
 
Mortal Online is quite different from anything out there (first person sandbox mmo) i'm currently enjoying my time in the game so i would say take the jump
 
As far as fps go CSS and TF2 are more about fun than realism though hardly new. Baldurs gate series is not on your list for some reason. Men of war is an excellent rts. I'd agree though there's not been a lot to get exited about in recent years.
 
They would need to release Doom 4, Quake 5, UT 2011, Half life 3, Battlefield 3, Crysis 2 and Supreme Commander 3 for me too get back into gaming or at least 2-3 of those titles ;)
