Apple Keyboard for my PC?

The keys are in the wrong place. The placement of # and @ annoy me.

I prefer my G15 or my Dell QuietKey (the new one).

The markings are in the wrong place that all.. @ " # are actually in exactly the same place if you press the key.
So it doesnt matter if you touch type ;)

They look nice and sleek but whenever i have used one i have found myself having to actually look at the kb to type anything and just feels horrible to type with especially on the no num pad ones. Also i HATE funny sized enter keys. I personally have a G11 - love it although never used the macro's on it and don't really game either...

So in all practicality sense no :)

^ you get used to it pretty quick. I have no problem with switching between mac and pc layout.

Neither do I, but I still don't like the placement.

Not if you're using a Mac, but I guess if you're using it on the PC then it'd be alright.

I own that keyboard and I am 100% in love with it. Its amazing for gaming, it's actually better than my thinkpad's for touch typing and you get the added bonus of watching pretty much any movie ever made and going 'that's my keyboard' whenever there is a computer screen :)

ahaha you cannot call my keyboard for nerds the fact we are talking about keyboards is nerdy. Just because apple produced some commercialised slim keyboard to satisfy nerds by convincing them they are cool .

Does the last gen work with pc's just the same as the current version? I loved the one that came with the g3 imacs, just figured it was serial and that the keys wouldn't be programmable in XPp64 or W7. : (

All Apple keyboards have been USB since 1999. Unlike the PC market Apple are not afraid to delete legacy connectors.

Mechanical keyboards are expensive, but ultimately provide the best typing tool hence Mantias remade those keyboards. Actually they've improved slightly but even with their price tag of $150 they sold out, on pre orders, their first two production runs :D

They're on production run 3 currently, but those will end up selling just as fast. They are however fantastic keyboards http://matias.ca/tactilepro3/index.php
