*** Steam Summer Sale - Selection of games upto 85% off ***

I suspect I know the answer to this, but is the Call of Duty Collection a bit of a steal at £22? Do the early games still hold up or do they look really dated now?

I've not played any of them and I really can't justify 22 sheets at the moment but you know...

It is a great deal I think. Yes the oldest game looks dated but not outrageously so. COD 2 / COD 4 MW / World at War look much better and it's worth the money for those alone IMO. COD 4 is still very popular online too.

I've actually taken advantage of one of these sales for once, bought the THQ pack, as there is actually a couple of games in there that I want, namely the Dawn of war games, metro 2033 and a couple of others.

What are the Dawn of War games like? I'm genuinely not bothered by any of the other games in the THQ pack, apart from Metro 2033. Might wait and see if it pops up on the 24 hour sale...

A lot of fun, even in single player. easy to waste a lot time playing them, I've got the first one, but not the expansions, and I've played the second, but not the expansion.

The company of heroes series is excellent as well.

I'm coming back to games I bought in last sale - so I always seem to buy one sale ahead of my need :) but ok as when cheap

my son and I are really getting into Defence Grid - didn't like it when I bought it in the sale - but on retry its great fun :)

Have spent over £400 so far in this sale...

Got a bad feeling some of the ones I've already purchased are gonna drop even further in the 24 hour sales. But the prices were great anyways so can't really complain, just stating as a cautionary word of advice to others.

Looking forward to seeing what other games I can grab in the daily deals, but my bank balance feels the opposite...

What did you get?

£18.99 for the id super pack, tempted but I only really want Doom 3 and the expansion. Anyone know if there's a chance the price might come down a bit more?

Some of them I already own on disc but should make back on those ones what I spent on the equivalent Steam versions. And a few just got added purely because they were part of some crazy cheap publisher bundle.

I'd ideally like all my games on Steam. It's just such a convenient way of keeping a collection. I don't buy games for PC from other digital distributors as it's uncertain if they will be around forever, not to mention losing the 'all games in one place' feature. Steam is so popular that it's hard to imagine it disappearing in the forseeable future.

How big is your steam folder now :p

Mine is already 90gb after 30 quid worth of purchase yesterday, can't imagine what it would be at the of the week.

Is ghostbusters still single player only for PC?
