Hello all,

I hope some of you can help, I'd like to know the make and model of the below cars so I can find some more information out about them.

If you could reply with the picture number you're referring too that'd be great :)

Cheers,

No, I mean what do *you* win? It's a competition from somewhere I'm guessing.

1 looks like a Chevy Impala, 3 looks like an MG TF, 5 is an Austin A35, 6 is a Morris Minor/1100, 8 is a Daimler Dart. That's all I can think of now, if you win, I'd like half of whatever is up for grabs ;)

**EDIT**

Looking at the badge on the first one that says Galaxie, I'll risk saying it's a '59 Ford Galaxie ;)

Number 1 is not a Chevrolet Impala (one of my favourite cars as it happens) it's a late 1950s Ford Galaxie Fairlane.

Oh no I didn't Jansey, sorry :) ...to be absolutely specific then it's a 1959 Ford Galaxie Fairlane, the first incarnation of the Galaxie was based on the longer running Fairlane, it was 1959 specifically when this shape was about, it was redesigned from 1958 which had quite different rear lights ...and 1960 saw a totally new car and I think the name Fairlane was dropped from the Galaxie then too. This one has to be a 1959 therefore, as it says Galaxie and has the very distinctive Fairlane rear light clusters.

#5 could be an austin A35 (van)
#8 says it's a Daimler, so it could be the plastic bodied Dart

oops
Just seen Janesy B 's posting !

My mate has worked in the AA for about 8 years, in his handbook, it says everytime an AA employee sees a car with the winged AA badge in picture #5, they're supposed to salute the car as it passes!
