Possibly the most noobiest question on this very forum...

I've got the 1st MacBook unibody that came out in November 2008. I've bought a screwdriver from ******s, and it was too big , and I've borrowed a set from my mate - too big! :(

My manuals are at home in Leicester - my google Fu is weak. What size screwdriver do I need to change the hard drive?? :)

I had to buy a set specially, I think it's a torx 6.

/edit - Yes, google confirms this. I googled 'macbook torx 6'.

Beer not coming your way...

The screw on top of the hard drive (the bracket that holds it in place) has now been sheared. I cant ******* believe this - all I want is to put my new hard drive in, and now the screw is nackered what am I going to do??

Major unhappy moment right now - such a flimsy screw, hardly any presure was put on it...

you own a Mac. you are not permitted to upgrade them on pain of death from the high Lord-Marshall Jobs.

if you wanted to upgrade you should have bought a PC.
