I want a 3GS not iphone 4

Just been looking into getting myself a 3gs on contract only to find out that the 32gb phones are no longer being made :( i was looking at a £45 tarrif and you can get a 32gb for free from the car phone warehouse while stocks last. Dont know what to do i dont want a poxy 8gb phone, the main prob is its gonna cost me £400 to pay out my current contract but i really want a 3gs!!

What should i do? i have an N97 at the mo
 
you can pick up plenty of 3GS 32Gb's 2nd hand man at knock down prices! A well known audio and video forum is ripe with them!
 
Good point my bad :) i have been doing a lot of googling im just very wary of getting a 2nd hand 3gs some just wanted some trusted sites or forum thats all
 
Just picked up a 32gb 3GS from t'bay myself. Do your research and make sure the seller is reliable with excellent feedback and you pick it up mint with warranty if possible. You can always Applecare it to extend the warranty if needs be.

I paid £324 inc p&p for one and (should!) come in great condition. These teething problems I've read about with the iPhone 4 just make me want to wait 6 months or so while things settle. After selling my 3g 16gb for £285 last month it's only cost me £40 for all the benefits of the 3gs and of course with the extra memory.

Generally they go for around £300+ but as I said above, bid with caution.

You can even us the o2 iPhone stock-checker to find out which stores actually still have the 32GB 3gs still in stock, i just checked London and there are loads of stores with stock!

300 posts I believe. Mobile Phones aren't allowed for sale in the marketplace though.
 
I think o2 do contracts with refurbished 3GSs? I know someone does, I've seen a few people get them quite recently but I don't know if they've stopped it since the 8gb 3GS came out. Only other name that's ringing a bell for some reason is t-mobile, I know they've been doing the 3GS on the sneaky for a while now. Try both of them :)
 
Out of interest why do you want the 3gs? Money issue?

I have a 32gb since August, and it is a brilliant phone - just dont see the point when there is a superior phone out.

If cost is an issue - I suggest you check out tesco mobile for iphone 4 deals, very good value, even on 12 month contracts! Suprised me big time...
 
As Bengaboy said, why is it that you want a 3GS when the iPhone 4 is out? The improved camera with LED flash on the 4 was enough for me to never want to go back to the old models, and that's before you even consider the display, which is enormously improved compared the to the 3G and 3GS. If it's a money issue I personally would save up the extra £150-200 and buy a 16GB iPhone 4.
 
Far superior design, much better battery, camera and screen, the iphone 4 is a no brainer. Unless you pick up a 32GB 3GS for around £200 I say save up a bit more and go for the 4 :)
