30GB!?!:eek: Dear god, I thought GTA IV was a big enough game!

You can completely understand why some games are so big e.g. GTA IV. There just seems to be no reason for it with The Force Unleashed. And for anyone who has played Just Cause 2 and seen the scale of that game (at a mere 7GB), it becomes even more astonishing.

The first area of The Witcher is pretty linear, it's only once you hit the city that you start to see the consequences of earlier actions kick in. Try to stick with to the point where you get into the city proper.

It was also wonderfully gritty. There were no true good guys, just two groups of people who were convinced they were in the right, both doing pretty awful things, and you're stuck in the middle.

Also, how can you not appreciate a game that has a drug that you have to shove under the skin of your willie :D

What is the Force Unleashed like on PC?

It's alright, not bad... was very glitchy when it first came out but patches have sorted most of it out.

I enjoyed it anyway. But as said, be warned it's a 25GB download... it's an absolute monster, and when you play it there is absolutely no reason as to why it's that big. Texture's aren't that high a res, no superb high def audio or anything like that.

It's good, worth a punt if it's cheap... but don't expect to play it any time soon ;)

Witcher - for me its the atmosphere of the game, with the voice overlays // eerie sound and the graphics are excellent for its age, dark and immersive but highly playable, great game!

Ok so Dragon Age is on my list now, worth £19 or wait for a deal?

What's Mount & Blade Warband like? any others like Witcher?

Also tempted by the THQ Pack now as well, dammit Steam! :D

EDIT: Witcher nothing like Oblivion imho, for you ladies debating on getting it, BUY IT! its only £5, insanely cheap!
DOUBLE EDIT: Oh crap, I didn't see L4D2 for £6.80 until now, there goes payday!

How great are the two indie packs?

Worth the £15? I'm leaning towards Northern Lights pack because the crayoning looks pretty fun :D

I'm posting a lot on this thread because it's the only thing that's preventing me from unleashing my wallet on Steam!

Is there any way to buy a game from the US steam version that's in their sale but not available on our steam? guess there isn't?
