The most up lifting song of all time?

Mr. Brightside...not sure that's meant to be uplifting, as great as it is!!

Anyone my vote goes to Jerusalem. Nothing more rousing and should be England national anthem!

Let it Be- The Beatles

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Not so much uplifting in one sense but if im feeling down this song always helps

I like the guitar solo at the end, cheesy though it may be.

This is off the top of my head, one track I can and have listen(ed) too endlessly. Some tracks get to me in different ways but I can never tire of this;

Mr Brightside is the complete opposite to me, massive downer of a song. Probably due to something that happened when that song was playing and how amazingly relevant the lyrics were to that situation.. ahaha.

^ You got cuckolded? :p

That song is garbage. The lyrics are ridiculous trash.

The lyrics aren't always entirely relevant, that's true. But it's a very stirring song and constantly tops 'What should England's Nationel Anthem be?' polls. Calling it 'garbage' and 'ridiculous trash' just sounds like you're trolling.

I'll concede that I have a massively vested interest in hating that song, as I'm a Christian and the song is absurd in terms of the Christian mythos. Moreover, people refer to it as a hymn when it is anything but and want to sing it at weddings. Argh.

In terms of music and the general lyrical "build" of it, it's very good, I'll give you that. I'll meet you halfway and agree that it's stirring rubbish.

I find that the songs which currently cheer me up are forever evolving. To post every single one would take me some time.

Currently, however, I'm really enjoying these:
