Itunes on Windows is horrid, it runs in the background when you don't want it and if you disable it Itunes just breaks. Why can't it just run when it detects your iphone

This is what it does. It doesn't rnn in the background but it needs additional process so it can detect your phone and launch.

I love all of them, especially iTunes and Mail, Garage Band I don't use too often but when I do I think it's a well made app. I also agree with the opinion that iTunes doesn't work very well on Windows, but then I'm the kind of person who likes to keep all their programs as native as possible, all Apple made programs on Mac and all Microsoft made programs in Windows, I just think it works better that way.
