Hi,
I am in a contract, which isnt bad actaully... but I have no signal at home with vodafone (actaully it is talk mobile..) so.... i want to change to orange...

I have 15 or 16 months (ish) left from the 24 month contract... and they wont allow me to go below the original £10 i started the contract on...

If i look carefully through the terms and conditions, and find a change from when i started the contract, do i have the right to cancel??

How do i find a copy of the old terms and conditions though?

Is there any other way.... The annoying thing is... the deal is a good one, with a good phone... but, I have no signal at home!!! GRR!!!

you have 7 days from getting the contract to change your mind. after that your screwed

how did you not notice you have no signal in that first week or even by looking at coverage maps beforehand ?

well, I kind of didnt bother and thought i would make do... now its really starting to get to me!!

Can i request a copy of the terms & condtitions as of when i started my contract??

you can but i dont see how that will help ? they wont of broke any T&C without making sure they are covered

mobile section is full of threads like this and no one ever gets out of the contracts.

oh , vodafone sell a device that ensures you get signal. plugs into your broadband i think. may be worth looking at

Indeed, Vodafone have like a signal booster. They might provide a free one for you if you complain enough.

if you live somewhere out of a town/city when your signing 24 months of your bank account away to it then why not spend 2 seconds putting your postcode into a website ?

Because you'd know already what the signal was like from the phone you have? I don't know of a single person who'd check coverage maps apart from spotters on the Internet

It'd never be an issue unless you're a brand whore. Find one company that works and stay with them?

Me, always. Why wouldn't you check the coverage of the network your about to sign a 2 year contract with?

why stay with companys when others can offer you better deals or better phones ?

anyway ive never signed up for a contract and not been recommended to look at the coverage map by either a store assistant or by the website im buying from

guess you dont know many people who live in low coverage areas. its essential to check round here otherwise stuff like this happens and a quick search of the forum reveals that it happens a lot

your a fool if you don't look at coverage maps in this day and age, and if you go in store to buy a mobile they *should* to do this with you to ensure there are no issues.

furthermore, if your only on 10 a month its no biggy to pay it up.

thanks guys. when i seen that rolleyes i thought maybe im mad and have been wrong to ensure i get good coverage before signing myself up to £500 worth of contracts

voda one is spot on here. to the extent of it showing a no signal area in my garden and me getting no signal whatsoever in the garden yet still getting a 2g one in the house like they say. god knows how they worked that one out
