Injured Bird

As harsh as it may be, it sounds pretty far gone so you'd be better just putting it out of it's misery.

It's a songbird, so it would really appreciate you going out into your garden and singing this to it..

Pack up all my care and woe,
Here I go,
Singing low,
Bye bye blackbird,
Where somebody waits for me,
Sugar's sweet, so is she,
Bye bye
Blackbird!

No one here can love or understand me,
Oh, what hard luck stories they all hand me,
Make my bed and light the light,
I'll be home late tonight,
Blackbird bye bye.

Pack up all my care and woe,
Here I go,
Singing low,
Bye (bye) bye (bye) blackbird.
(tchoo tchoo tchoo tchoo tchoo tchoo)
Where somebody waits for me,
Sugar's sweet, so is she,
Bye (bye) bye (bye) blackbird.
(tchoo tchoo tchoo tchoo tchoo tchoo)

No one here can love or understand me,
Oh, what hard luck stories they all hand me,
(Oh oh oh oh)
Make my bed, light that light,
I'll be home late tonight,
Blackbird...

Make my bed and light the light,
I'll be home late tonight,
Leave you bird jet in the sky
Toodle oo!
Farewell!
Bye bye!

Blackbird
(Blackbird,Blackbird)
We'll take the flying little blackbird bye!

For a common garden bird? :/

So you want someone to come out in a van, put it in a box, take it back with them, anaesthetise it, put its leg in a splint I guess if its hopping around and then hope it's not dead already from all the shock?

That's a lot of trauma for a tiny animal in pain, just leave it be or put it out of its misery. Some stuff just doesn't need our intervention.

It's their job.

I went to stick him in a box as per the RSPCA instructions and while I was on the phone to them he just kicked the bucket. Poor fella, below is a picture of him in happier times.
