wasnt it called AWM pre retail? i seem to remember them calling all the guns by their "real" names and then having to change them when the retail version was released due to licensing.

That noobs call the awp the awm? i still regard that as a really retarded statement, i've always called it the awp, but people are freely entitled to call it what they like.

Nobody who plays at any vaguely high level will call it an AWM, I would put good money on that. A lot of the people in this thread clearly don't even know what it is to be an even slightly high level player - Talking about AWMs, cs_office, CS:S, spraying etc., it is pretty obvious the lack of clue is significant.

I'm not even sure why it's gone on this long, it's provided me some good entertainment for a relativly quiet and boring day at work though
I don't even care that much, i was only sticking up for whoever called it the AWM by saying he can call it what he wants, because afterall...it is an AWM, Arctic Warefare Magnum. Just because he calls it what it is shouldn't mean he gets a load of CS kiddies shouting "noob" at him, and that was my point this whole time.....at least until andy decided to start waving his CS CV in the air
And yet trying to be nice and defend someone when one bloke who, i think is 30 years old? (not depends if his birthdate on another site is correct) was acting like a 15 year old was met with aload of his little CS buddies sticking up for him. It's like talking badly about CS is the equivilant to scratching the queens head on a coin or killing a swan
End of the day, CS is ****, the people who play it 99.9% of the time are utter ******* as proven by a handful of people in this thread, and i'll happily stick to playing CSS in the future wether it is the better game or not, because at least the people are nicer.
EDIT: actually i probably won't get to play either for a very long time soon with a baby due in only 8 days lol
oh and hehe, urban dictionary point number 3 for AWM - angry white male, that's covers most CS players!
