what are the advantages and disadvantages of microATX?

just looking at some boards and noticed some pretty nice spec boards but i am somewhat put of because the are microATX and i was just wondering what the ads and cons are of these boards compared up against a full ATX (in my mind the better choice)

Pretty much only advantage is they're smaller.

less expansion slots, if you fit a graphics card with a dual slot cooler, then you can kiss goodbye to most of the slots!!

If you don't need the extra slots (for crossfire/soundcard/other) then you could just save yourself some money and go for the MATX option.
