The constant blowing of your nose is a cause of nose bleeds, you can get surgery where they 'burn' the blood vessel thus sealing them and reduce chances of nose bleeds

Yer my mum mentioned something about that just now, though said it was unlikely.
Is there even stronger tablets then the 'normal' things they give you? Or you can buy in a chemist.

do thye jabs work?

yes if they will give it to you. had them as a teenager. Had to try most other things first. Might be different now.

keep going back to doctors there are loads of tablets they can prescribe which aren't available over the counter. Drugs can work differently on different people. So just because they work well on a mate, doesn't mean they will work for you.

I was prescribed tablets which are essentially just piriteze. They don't work on me, though.

suffered from hayfever since i was a child, itchy eyes and all that sneezing, it's a pain in the a*** but i've never had any nose bleeds.

You can get stronger stuff to deal with allergies, but you have to see a doctor and probably trial all the weaker stuff before they prescribe it to you, not surprised you have to get it prescribed considering the amount of side effects on some of the stronger tablets (someone i work with recently got prescribed some really strong stuff and complained about the huge number of side effects which comes with it)

Less green, less pollen.

ahh right, simple

Not quite as simple.
I've lived in Singapore for 15 years of my life. Not once had I suffered from Hayfever. Singapore is tropical, the city is nearly covered in green.

2 years ago, I started getting hayfever in the UK, nearly 8 years after coming to the UK. Not the nicest feeling when I get the sneezing fit and the blocked nose, including the odd nose bleed when blowing my nose.

Annoying. So far, the Galpharm Hayfever and Allergy Relief pills are working. For now.

it could be a certain type of plant effecting you that only grows in your part of the country. it happens to me all the time. i get hayfever like mad here, yet i go away to majorca for 2 weeks, and my nose didn't even itch once.

but yes, i did get loads of nose bleeds because of hayfever. infact it was so bad once, my nose bleeding was waking me up at night. the initial trickle of blood coming out would trigger me to wake up, panic, and rush to the bathroom, meantime blood was splattered everywhere.

i found this device in lloyds chemist, which is like a little light emitting thing you put up your nose. it really works as odd as it sounds. it was half price too. i'll see if i can find it. basically you pu it up your nose for 3 mins twice a day and it stops it from itching. i also find it helps the eyes too from itching.

Watch episode 2 of the self experimenters on the bbc iplayer. That has got quite an interesting cure for hayfever. It basically consists of contaminating yourself with some kind of tiny south american worm that feeds inside your bowel. It is supposed to work wonders in suppressing the immune system just enough so that it cures the hayfever.

The doctor tried to prescribe me ceterizine for hayfever, I was like no way am I paying £7.20 for 30 ceterizine i can get 30 for £2 over the counter, thats how the nhs makes some money back i guess, hayfever sucks!

I get it when pollen levels are silly high only, as they have been the past few days. A hayfever tablet and it all goes away though :)

I get it really badly too!!! Apparently there are some kind of de sensitizing injections that you can get to help stop it. I am trying to get my doctor to do it for me but she seems reluctant. Probably because it cost the NHS a lot of money!

Hay Fever for me = Sinusitis, not fun. Not been too bad so far this year fortunately for me.

I suffer from Hay Fever but this year has taken the mickey!

Constantly blowing my nose, sneezing and my eyes... AHHHH!

I take the tablets and they do sweet bugger all! :(
