have you tried co pilot ? theres been quite a few problems with it working on 2.1.

Haven't 'road tested' it but the app seems to work fine.

Official 2.1 is out in the UK.

It's currently being rooted! Shouldn't be long now.

Can't wait, I should finally be able to get a plain, rooted rom. Woot woot!

Just spotted that my phone can now share its internet connection with my pc/laptop, happy days!

(yes, I'm more than aware that you have been able to wireless tether with a rooted phone for some time, but I'm not fussed about root. So shoot me)

Just waiting for the download links to the OTA (with root) 2.1 update now. Still uploading I think.

Rooted rom 60% uploaded!

Don't think it will have Apps2SD though? That's all I want. A standard rom, with root and Apps2SD.

i think apps2SD is only an option on 2.2froyo, you'll need root to get it on 2.1.

Like the 2.1 rom I am running now with Apps2SD. I know you need root, that isn't the issue.

What I was saying is, this official UK rom (rooted) won't come with Apps2SD yet. I am sure it will get it in the next few hours, but sometimes the "cookers" package a load of crap I don't want too.

anyway, the standard rom + root is uploaded and available over at XDA now!

No Apps2SD though.

That was installed as part one of the update. I do not believe orange have had that yet. I certainly haven't . Those with updates are all on unbranded Heros

The check for updates bit was added in the pre update update which we have not got yet so its not there

I saw the htc hero for £16 a month (24 month contract) but since i'm under-age i can't order it.
