Live at home, and its kinda 50/50...if I go out for a day or longer, its generally a kiss on the cheek goodbye. With older aunts and uncles, a kiss on the cheek hello and goodbye whenever we meet.

My mum might kiss me on the cheek if we haven't seen each other for a while. I think the more interesting one is do you hug your dad? My friend never does and just shakes his hand. I could never imagine doing that.

My boyfriend gives his dad a kiss on the cheek for saying hello/goodbye and to me it comes off as a respect thing. Nothing wrong with that.
