White noise on radio when pressing brake pedal?

As the title says, from today I have been getting white noise on the radio when I push the brake pedal in. Anybody got any clue about this and why it would randomly start happening?

Might be a suppressor needed.

Supressor needed, it'll no doubt be due to the brake lights and wiring rather than the brake pads/discs them selves.

Poor earth? Split wire/loose connection maybe.

What is a suppressor then and where does it go? The signal has degraded over the past few months but the white noise when braking has only started today. Guess I'll check the wiring first!
