Greenhithe Peeps in here!

Not a lot to do there but very residential and a nice place to live. Ingress Park is a particularly nice little community. Trains take about 50 mins i think into London, good access to Bluewater shopping centre too. Probably where I'm gonna move to in November when my current lease on my flat runs out!

Been hearing mixed reviews so far, im looking at either Ingress Park as you mentioned or Waterstone park! Seems the commute isnt too far and you can pick up a 1 bedroom for approximately 130k

I looked round both when I was moving last time, and Ingress Park was definitely the nicer of the two in my opinion. Was just something about Waterstone that I wasnt keen on, wasnt quite as nicely laid out, and is also further from the train station (if my memory serves me right) if commuting is something you'll be doing. I reckon you could do far worse than moving there :)

I was looking to rent so can't comment on the going rate, google is your friend though - always a good number of places up for rent/sale no matter the time of year.

Ingress Park is a very nice area, the train station there is stupidly slow, takes 50 mins as it stops at nearly every stop into Charring Cross

LOL thanks for the useful information

No problem.

You could do worse than Greenhithe, I suppose. Decent transport links to Bluewater, the nearest towns and London. It's a very small place, so if you want entertainment you'll probably end up going to Bluewater for the cinema and restaurants as well as shopping.

Night life, such as pubs and clubs, you'll probably end up going to Gravesend or even Chatham, since Gravesend lacks a decent nightclub.

Takes about 40 minutes by train to get to London Bridge, 50 minutes to Charring Cross. 30 minutes if you want to go to Gillingham...though I don't know why you would.

Ingress Park / Waterstone are great. The village bit just behind the ASDA is cool too. Otherwise, its crap. Seriously.

Good train access, though. Bluewater is close. M25 is well close, too.

As far as going out, its Dartford or Gravesend if you stay local. If you listen to rock music though, you really need to dig deep to find the spots to go (I'm happy to help.)

Looks like loads of us from the area? When's the OCUK Gravesend/Greenhithe/Dartford ****-up? ;-)

EDIT - ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING! Do wrap it up if you meet a random in a pub...

Judging by the response it seems a popular area! Im use to quiet areas as i live in the Marsh down in Kent! I have friends in Chatham so i know it would be quite handy to live there! However, i always like to scout out the area before i consider whether its worth while to buy there whilst the prices are affordable! Train prices from Greenhithe to Moorgate underground seems reasonably priced at £232 per month! Suppose its cheaper then buying in london!

Munky what did you mean by this:

EDIT - ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING! Do wrap it up if you meet a random in a pub... ?

I'm just sayin, a mate of mine pulled some random girl and got an STI - its actually a funny story, because when he went home with her, those of us still at the pub were betting whether he'd get one or not! :p

I'm from Gravesend so driven through Greenhithe a fair few times. It's got an alright looking McDonalds... :p

I lived in Gravesend for 2 years, it's great if you love single mums :p

Having Bluewater so close is awesome, especially with Kent being pinned in by the M25 and the Thames

Nice properties with a view of the Thames too in Ingress Park come to think of it. May well end up moving there in a few months :D
