Decent laser printers?

I'm sick of inkjet printers, the ink dries up, they suffer from so many mechanical problems, they are slow, they constantly need the paper and ink replacing, print heads cleaning, alignment etc. I HATE THEM!

So looking at laser printers they seem to be a lot cheaper in the long run with cartridges lasting for 2000 prints and at under £200 they seem to be the same price as "decent" inkjet printers anyway. Can anyone reccomend any particular brands?

The DELL c1230 colour laser at £187 looks good and is about the same size as my HP c7180, I'll just buy a seperate scanner anyway as I've realised that multifunction printers are just more things to go wrong, and the quality is not as good as seperate perhipherals.

Needs to be colour?

Colour is considerably more expensive to run on a Laser.

I have 3 lasers, An HP1320 with Network, Duplex and 2 trays from eBay for £80 - Black and huge carts). A samsung CLP-315 which is hugely expensive £125 for a full set of colour carts (no compatibles exist). And an HP P1006 which can be had from the highstreet, black only and not as cheap to run as the HP 1320 (Its been mothballed as its no longer required).

Make sure you can buy compatibles, as originals are hugely expensive.

C7180... sorry for hijaking a little but have you come across any problems with it constantly disconnecting from the network every so often?

Thankfully not, I'm using ethernet. Maybe try the printers wifi or bluetooth connection if you already haven't.
