Someone raised an interesting point earlier...
Buying a boxed salad from a supermarket will set you back £3 - £4, and having a drink and a bag of crisps and that's £5 or more gone already. Eating healthily is not particularly cheap... an boxed salads are not especially low in calories, especially if you go for the Chicken Caesar!
I remember it used to get to the end of the month and I was broke... 99p would still get you a cheeseburger. You cant by anything else in the town for 99p. Maybe a couple of mars bars, or similar.

Sure I know I know, they're selling to a target market who don't care about such things - but that's why I sledom buy pre-made burgers, I'd rather make them myself.
Otherwise there are always other options imo.
