Hi all,
I recently had all the tyres on my car changed to new michelins as the rears were getting close to the limit and the fronts had failed an MOT.
The fronts were done a month before getting new rears...
I was getting really bad vibrating through the steering wheel... had the wheels rebalanced, went out for a drive and got the same problem only not quite so bad...Did this a couple of times then the guys said its probably the tread on the rears affecting it so I got the rears done as well..
Now the car feels a lot lot better, I can hold the wheel at 70-80mph without my hands shaking. The problem now is that I can still feel a slight and subtle rumbling under my feet when getting up past 65mph and am wondering what it is...
I took the car back to ATS and teh guys checked the balancing on all the wheels and said they are fine and where they need to be etc. and I asked if it was the tracking to which I was told it wasn't... even though I'm sure they didn't check this.
What could the problem be ? It is overdue for a service so I'm wondering if something found in a service would fix it?
Where's the best place to get a service and also I've noticed on the kwik fit site for example that they say they use oils etc. close to manufacturer spec... well would I be able to tell them to use the actual Ford oil I have for the car etc.?
Cheers
