F10 5 Series Saloon M-Sport pictures

Is it me or is it just a blend of 3 and 7 series in sport guise?

This. Seems BMW are heading towards an anonymous range like Audi where you can hardly tell one car apart from another without a tape measure. I liked the E60, it was quite different from everything else.

Whereas an E30 3 Series, an E32 7 Series and an E34 5 Series were all completely different?

Lets not start this again, manufacturers have attempted to have a 'family look' across the model range for longer than any of us have cared about cars. It isnt new and it isnt going to go away.

The E60 was a blip designed by a nutcase.

Like it, but am I a mental if I think the E60 M-Sport looks better?

I agree, but I didn't like the E60 at first so maybe the F10 will grow on me too. But the E60 was more "WHAT THE **** IS THAT!" than the "Oh, is that it?" which I'm getting with the F10.

It's bland like the current 3 series saloon and 7 series. The E60 was a breath of fresh air upon the range and despite being introduced nearly 7 years ago, it still looks great.

BMWs have become more conservative after Bangle left, but Audi is in another league.
The new A8 is an A4 with an increased scale factor of 1.5.

I've said it before and I will say it again, leather seats are something I wish the options boys would start to not botter with. Give me some nice alcantara or quality cloth everytime. I know I am rare but they are just more comfy, less sweaty and don't look tatty as quickly.

I agree, I love the alcantara in my e46. :)

Does that horrible nasty cloth material not drive you up the wall though? They way they cover the doors in it and it just makes the whole thing feel cheap?

I'd just find myself regretting the fact I couldnt afford the one with the proper seat material :p

Rant: Why do cars not have side rubbing strips anymore? I hate to think how many little dinks I'd have in my car if it wasn't for those.

Aren't they pointless given that they aren't fitted at a standard height?

I've always thought parking at the end of the car park the best parking ding detterent...

It never bugged me in my 330... I've got 'proper' seat material now, and can't say I'm thankful in this weather...

Red is awesome though...

Nope, they tend to be fitted at the widest part.

My parents 530d has utterly ruined bump strips but largely fine paintwork and no trolley dents.

They do? Can't say I'd ever noticed? Even 4x4s etc?

I'm sure I've seen the newer styled BMW's (flame/blade styling?) with aweful dings right on the crease of the shoulder(?) of the doors...
