I went to the bottle bank and....

I for one am very surprised that their were a large amount of bottles in a bottle bank. I mean of all the places in the world a bottle bank is the last place i would expect to see bottles. It reminds me when i was at the sea and by golly their was a lot of water.

my thoughts too

I never visit the bottle bank, any extra empties we can leave next to the recycling bin so long as they're seperated and in a box or a clear bag, they'll take them.
I go down about once every 6 months with tetrapaks and deodrant cans though.

My family are known to like a fair few drinks on a fair few occasions so quite often we're overflowing with empties. Even now that i'm reusing all the wine bottles. :D

I would like a Bottle shoot

I drink a Beer, put it in the shoot and it gets sucked to the bottle bank.

They do this in some european countries but I can't remember which one.

Chute not shoot. A bottle shoot sounds like a US deep South thing where you drink a bottle of bourbon and then shoot something. Maybe the empty bottle but probably not.

Interesting Fact - As heard on the Discovery Chanel - In the 1820s London residents consumed more beer than the whole of the United Kingdom does today - The fact that there was no fresh drinking water at the time may have something to do with it - this may also explain this countries obsession with the stuff!!
