Hello there,

So I was at the BP garage just now and reached for the first green pump, thought it was odd that the price on the display was so high and realised it was BP Ultimate. I remember reading in the owners handbook that 95 ron petrol should only be used. I know this isn't the same as flooding it with diesel, but is this going to break anything?

Cheers :D

It will have no effect at all, in a higher tuned engine it helps stop detonation so in a "normal" engine it works just as normal petrol.

It will clean the engine a tiny bit but really need to use it all the time to make it worthwhile.

The side effect is you'll go for a trip to the loo and realise you're giving birth to a fully grown mountain goat complete with horns. You might feel a little tender around the back passage for a few days. I'd avoid motorways services for a while, it's also very hard to explain away on an aeroplane.

Your car will be fine.

Order up a new set of tyres. The extra 1400bhp going through the wheels will shred the tyres in no time.
