**The Dragon Age Origins Thread **

I have bought dragon age origins and dragon age awakenings on steam the other day,

I installed both. NO matter which icon I click on, I get dragon are origins not awakenings (er, I presume. The 'other campaigns' icon is greyed out - is that what I should be able to click on?):

They also appear to have given me 2 Origins standard game keys and zero awakenings keys

Anyone know what on earth is going on? HOw do you get into awakenings as oppose to origins?

Awakening will appear in the other campaigns section in Origins. The other key is to activate Awakening.
 
Got a weird Issue in this game where I have to downclock my 5870 to 820-1200 to avoid the game crashing frequently. Anyone else got this? 10.4a drivers.

Otherwise loving this game :) Don't know why I held of getting it for so long.

Maybe try upgrading to 10.5a?
 
Having stuck a few mods in over the last couple of days, I've rediscovered my enjoyment of Dragon Age, after not playing for months.

Somewhere amidst numerous reinstalls of Windows, I've lost my only completed run through :(, but I'm going for it again. It does lack the atmosphere and plotting of Mass Effect 2, but there's swords, magic spells and big breasted women (modded ;)), which puts it right up my street. Trouble is I have to try and romance Alistair this time around...
 
Brothers Birthday tomorrow, bought him the hard copy of this and the expansion so it will be interesting to see whether he enjoys it, as he loved Mass Effect, KoTOR and Jade Empire but he's never been inclined to purchase this game.
 
I was half tempted to buy the new DLC, but seeing as my 1.03 version of DA is crashing left right and centre now, I thought I'd wait. :( The previous version was pretty tight, if a bit long on load times. They are really taking their time with a fix too...

I wish I could blame my collection of mostly childish mods, but it started before that. :(

I presume he meant Alister :p (though he does act very much like a girl)

I presume you've gotten past that point now at this stage, if you're still stuck though you could always try lowering the difficulty.
