Tax Disc

Sorry, I fail to see how. Most people carry around plastic and avoid holding lots of cash unless necessary. Perhaps what you mean to say is a small number of people in your circles do? :p

Loads of people get paid or earn in cash, pensioners often work purely in cash. People who earn in cash may save up to 40% by paying for something like road tax in cash, etc.

Lots of people use cash for all manner of reasons :)

Its not relevant to the thread, the point is that lots of people may want to use cash to pay for road tax, from all walks of life. I think its a good thing that the PO's continue to issue tax for this reason alone :)

No, i mean everybody who prefers to use cash, old and young, self employed, employed, criminal, non-criminal, everybody. Accepting cash for something is not an unusual thing to want or use.

Your vehicle should be registered at your address not somebody elses

I dont think this is actually true, I always understood (no idea what i am basing this on) that you are allowed to register the car to any address for which you have postal access?

Ignoring any rules that i may or may not be breaking, i wonder what the officials of this actually are, it would be interesting to know as i genuinely have no idea! :)

Come to think of it I'm not even sure now, surely its a bit odd to have a car registered and insured at different locations?

They are 2 separate entities entirely, as people often "keep" the car away from their registered address (Such as people studying away, working away, etc).

Anybody know? :)
