So far I've bought Trine, Bionic Commando and Bioshock - all for console-style play on my HTPC. Good job steam - any chance you cold expand into music, tv and movies?

Is anyone here having problems finishing their download for the witcher? I reinstalled it last night and the download stopped at the exact same spot - about 100mb short of completion. It's getting abit annoying.

I used to have my old card attached to Steam so I could click 'n' buy. That one's since been replaced, so before I can choose ANY payment type when I'm checking out it demands the full card details.

I just hope there's at least one equally excellent offer from tomorrow or I'll be angry for quite some time!
 
I'm pretty sure someone will have this issue with Flatout:UC.

I couldn't get it to start since it was missing an xlive.dll. Yeah you know what that means, the dreaded Games for Windows LIVE. You have to go to the official GFW website and install their client.

Once you do, you'll be playing the game with no issues.
 
So far I have bought Men of War & exp, Commandos series & Flatout UC. Can I backup all the Steam games to an external HD? My laptop is almost full and I want to buy more games while the massive sales are still on....

I had this issue as well. The games for windows live files were in a folder in the flatout install. I didn't have to download anything extra.

Yep, you can backup everything. But also you can buy without having to download straight away.
 
Even though its not my kind of game, I'm strangley compelled to buy Tropico 3.
Can anyone tell me if you can walk around your town first person and are you involved in any of the fighting?

I think the Void is supposed to be mega weird. You've just died, are trapped in this void between life and death, and have no idea how to progress. I think that's the attraction.

Then again, your game might just be bugged :D
 
Issues with the Void:

Uninstall your Physx drivers, then navigate to steam path, steamapps/common/the void and install the provided Physx drivers that are there. It doesn't like newer Physx.
 
I tell ya its gunna be saturday when the deals are good I have a feeling about it :D

So far on these deals I have bought GTA: Liberty stories, Theif 3 and the THQ pack.
