I saw one of these in a lovely dark shade of blue recently, and I have to say what a cracking motor.

I loved everything about it, I couldnt find a single fault with how it looks. Just seemed so much more characterful than a Q7 or an X5 IMO.

Has anyone driven the new one? Its a 5.0L Supercharged V8 isnt it?

Do they get built in Britain these days? I was under the impression they were owned by Ford now, but it would be nice if I could be proud of this as a proper British car.

Im sure the book price is something ludicrous like nearly £90K, but if you have to ask then you can't afford it as the saying goes!

sigh...

Jaguar/Landrover is now owned by TaTa. The RR-S is a cracking motor, goes like stink and is packed full of wizardry! My dad brought a Autobiography home with him the other day, They cost a little over 98K fully spec'd !

I'd love a Vouge the sport is quite cramped up front my knees touch the dash, as I'm a game shooter it's the ultimate accessory however I don't think I could stomach the 125ltr fill up especially when fuel will hit 1.30 ltr by the end of the year.

It's nice talking about these monsters but when a fill up is £150 and lasts 700 - 800 miles, for me that would be about £450 a month just to get to work

Must be the warp drive option, only fitted to press cars and it really puts the price up...

Can't move for Range Rovers and the such up ere, always liked the RR Sport but would never want to own one.

Never driven the 5.0 one but my brother has the older one (2007 I think his is). It's nice enough to drive but damn thirsty. I borrowed it for a few hours and it cost me £80 in petrol. Made the Boxster/TT 3.2 seem positively economical.

The LR-TDV8 4.4-litre with parallel sequential turbo charging replaces the 3.6-litre, but despite the extra performance, this V8 engine is cleaner too, delivering lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions than its predecessor reducing from 294g/km to 253g/km

Sorry, just had to prove I wasnt going mad. Comes out in September:D

Buy a proper Range Rover :p

Autobiography Black if want something really special, that may be SC V8 only, but a 4.4TDV8 would be where my money would go if it wasn't :)

Nothing wrong with having a 125 litre fuel tank, although it's expensive to fill it up ...you don't have to fill it up as much as you would if it had a smaller tank. I liked the 90 litre tank more on the Jag than I do the 70 litre one of the 5 series, the 540 is less economical than the Jag was and with the smaller tank aswell I find myself in the petrol station far more than I would like.
