My GFs mum is getting married on the 16th, for the second time. We've been together nearly 5 months now.

I haven't meet her step-dad yet, and won't until I go down for the wedding. My girlfriend has said that I don't need to get them anything.

Now then would you buy them a wedding present? Nothing like a toaster or anything like that. I was thinking a bottle of champagne or wine?

Or shall I not bother on girlfriend orders? :D

If they like wine, get one for £10-15 quid. That would be suitably posh enough and still cheap relative to other gifts.

If they aren't wine buffs get them champagne, they can use it on the day.

I would.

Though was I the only one who read: " My GFs mum is getting married on the 16th, for the second time. We've been together nearly 5 months now." very wrongly? O.o

Thanks for the advice guys.

We are going back to his house after the wedding for a BBQ and drinks if the weather is still good, so I think I'll get a bottle of wine for them.

Or maybe a couple of crates from Tesco? 2 for £16 or what ever it is. :D

The only solution is to find out what your GF is getting them. And then get something twice as good! It'll make you popular with her! *

*this may not be true.

Well my girlfriend hasn't been told she has to get them something, because she is giving her away.

She wants to though, but I think she and her sister and going to get them a joint thing.
