Ok so £80k to spend, which car. Not including Porsche or Aston martin

I'd come clean with the actual buyer of the vehicle as you shouldn't be offering advice on such a high value purchase. Let him make his own decision.
 
Sorry, but this thread makes absolutely no sense to me. I don't know who's buying the car, I don't know who's choosing the car, I don't know what the car needs to do or who's needs it has to suit. I don't know who needs to be thinking about the running costs.

Wow, genuine or not, with 80k to spend and parents who have a good taste for cars, I'm surprised you opted to ask for advise on Overclockers. Realistically, what sort of reply did you expect. Just remember the "see threads/posts by user" is a powerful button in such cases.

I deal with the Rich every day (Marine Engineer/Boat Broker) and I hear some ridiculous but true stories/woes. That said, yours just stinks of bull.

Ah well Serial, I think you've missed the opportunity to revive your thread. Considering you have at least 2 people replying who are easily capable of advising on fast 4 seaters, you aren't doing yourself any favours.
 
When I was 8 I told all my friends at school that my dad had a Ferrari in the garage and that we were really rich. I think I grew out of that by the time I was ten. I hope the OP is genuine, but if he isn't, what on earth does he really benefit from other than winding a few people up for half an hour. I'll never understand people.

Ok maybe I went the wrong way about the thread. Clearly i've got a lot of peoples backs up and you have chose to flame away. That's fine guys.

I don't feel I need to prove this to any of you.

Haven't some of the overclockers crew got ferrarri's? And Fett you have a nice collection of cars looking at your sig. Hence why i'm asking here for advice. I've had some suggestions that's great thanks to all that helped.
