Having a knee op on the 21st and then have almost two weeks off work recovery time... I need some games which I can really get into over this period otherwise I will be bored stupid!!!

For the PS3 btw.

Demon Souls is an RPG, it's hard but epic.

Also recommended:

Batman Arkham Asylum
Valkyria Chronicles
Both Uncharteds
Darksiders
Borderlands
SSF4

Demon's Souls is an action rpg, so it isn't 'select attack from menu' it's 'BLARG MASSIVE GUY, BLOCK, BLOCK! awww i'm dead'

I'm loving it, it seems suitably big for a two week stint and i seem to be able to play it for hours without noticing, something that hasn't happened to me since Uncharted 2 (which sadly ended after three playing sessions :p)

The ones that spring to mind are god of war collection and 3, Uncharted 2, Imfamous, Killzone 2. I havnt got around to play them yet but final fantasy, red dead redemption and metal gear solid all seem like good games as well from what i have played.

Oh oh and heavy rain is a good rental game.

But its hard to spec you games when you havnt told us what style of games you like.

Completed Borderlands and loved it. I have Batman Arkham Asylum but lent it out so havent really played it much.. will have to get that back and give it a proper go.

Will look into the others you mentioned.

Never played a GOW game - completed both Uncharted's - never got round to playing infamous so may give that a go. Got bored with Killzone 2 before completing it and I'm playing Red Dead at the minute and loving it so will probably have finished that by the time im off.

I never got around to completing DEAD SPACE either and I have seen it on the market for about £5 - might give that another punt.

Wow...no joke my wife is having a knee op on the 21st as well. Having screws removed from a previous operation.

She had the original op privately but choose to have screws out on the NHS. She was suppose to have the op last month but the surgeon called up the night before and said they dont have the right screw driver............no joke :(

Anyway good luck with the knee op

Ask him if it's a Philips and if so tell him you have one under the sink somewhere that he can borrow. :p

Anyway I hope your wife's okay. :)

OP, get Fallout 3 if you haven't got it already, it's a brilliant game and one that suck the real world away from you, when you get involved in it you won't want to put it down.
