The game only has DX9 and DX11 and when DX11 is on and working you will have full cloth, crowd and water tessellation

Okay

I'm sure ten times better was a figure of speech. Fact is you can run it at ultra high res, 60fps+ and it runs and looks glorious. (Even on quite modest hardware as it is a well optimised game engine.)

I dissagree with the op there have been several good console ports in many cases the pc versions are way better.

Grid , Dirt 2, batman aa, devil may cry, street fighter 4, just cause 2, resident evil 5. GTA 4 some would dissagree but its better then the console counterparts imo. The modern warefare games. Battle feild bad company 2. Metro, Bioshock 2. This list is getting rather long so i will stop.

The way your talking it seems you havnt even played a console game if you think dirt 2 is a bad port.

When I said it was 10x better it was figure of speech but thinking about it is at least 10x better because the xbox and the PS3 only use 2x AA maybe 4x AA the PC version goes to 32x AA so if you divide 32 by 4 = 8x better or if the consoles use 2x AA it is 16x better and that is forgetting higher rez textures and DX11 and 60 FPS that the consoles versions don't have lol

Yes, many many people's first experience of GFWL is a nightmare. I know mine was. It's been hassle free ever since, but that first experience made me hate it for a long time. Until is saved my Dirt 2 saves.

No they aren't, not by an incredibly long way.

A large amount of the big name games are cross platform, but there are thousands of games that aren't the big name ones and they are made for the pc as it's cheaper and easier.

I doubt it. How on earth could you play SC2 on consoles?

You need about 30 buttons for all the hotkeys and control groups.

were grid and dirt2 console ports?

i thought codemasters used a game engine for all there racing games that was firstly pc

as there are only a handful of cross platform games & these are nearly all 360 vs PC (4 that I know of are all GFWL titles as well & only 3 have been released so far). Think you meant to say big name games are multiplatform games surely like The Force Unleashed1 + 2

Cross platform=playing vs console players.

Console ports are multiplatform games with the PC nearly always being the best version if not the lead as well but usually delayed until console sales have slowed down to reduce the piracy factor
