Well, my old AMD Server has been retired. Sata1.5, DDR, and nForce2 mobo has just got to old to fix.

Im looking to build a new server, but it doesnt need to be uber powerfull, its only running WHS.

Basically im looking for suggestions for either a decent barebones build, or suggestions for mobos with pleanty of SATA ports, a cheap and efficient PSU with pleanty of power outputs, and a case with pleanty of internal 3.5" bays.

Cheers

I recommend asking in the MM. Or having a scout through B-Grade. I got a bargain from there thats been with WHS since the beginning.

Im looking for new stuff if possible. Im bored of the niggles and issues around older outdated technology or unknown problems.

However, things like cases is fine second hand.

Could you not try say one of the £50+ atom boards, with a riser for more sata slots?

Either that, or a cheap amd cpu/mb, depending on what you might want it to do in future.

I thought about this, but buying all the parts is starting to look like a more expensive option. Prebuilts look to be the cheapest solution.
