I need a Macbook for school so i'm wondering is that a good deal? Thanks

Really?

Comes with these also Running on the very latest version of Snow Leopard 10.6.3, and loads of software including the latest version of Safari, iTunes, Microsoft Office suite for Mac 2008, iWork 09, iSkysoft Media converter, Front Row, iPhoto, iMovie, Garage band, Messenger for Mac etc. Built in high quality iSight Webcam.

So would you say grab the deal whilst i can?

Yeah that's a cracking deal - even better if it has the full version of Office with it (check it's not just the trial but the full program). Even without that, it's a really decent price, snap it up.

If i upgrade the Ram to a 4GB stick and keep my 1gb in does that mean i can have 5gb? Or does it not work like that.

Also if i upgrade the HD will the laptop be worth more.

Well, by definition it will be made up of more expensive parts, but I doubt you'd make the money back when you came to sell it on.

When you say you need a MacBook for school, do you really mean you want a Macbook or you really do need a MacBook. If the latter then I'm puzzled.

Guys, so happy. Picked it up today for £200 and a ps3, I paid £60 for the ps3 of a mate.

The Macbook had hair line sratches on the casing and the keyboard had some slight problems. The also back cover where the apple logo is was heavily scratched.

I took it to the Apple store, and they said oh we'll replace this with a new case/part free of charge.

I waited around for 2 hours picked it back up and the amount of replacements they did came to £240. They replaced the keyboard, trackpad, bazel, inside casing, battery, and side porting.

They told me if i wanted the back where the apple logo is replacing that would require it to be removed from the hinge, which would cost me in labour and come to £70 so i thought what the heck and left it as it's only asthetics I'll think about doing that if i ever want to re sell it. but i was explaining to the staff at apple and they said it was a bloody amazing bargain considering it came with Office 2008 and what not.
