my new car :)

Amazing how close I came to having one of these, in 2.0 form.

Very smart, tidy cars. Enjoy. :)

not a penny.

my dad has gotten a company car so he gave me his, very nice of him.

he has also had it cleaned inside and out every couple of months so its in very good condition.

as a parent i approve

You've got plenty of years striving to save for cars to come, enjoy your youth while it lasts !

Driven the 1.6, good engine IMO suits the car well!

borrwed it a couple of times to go for a few weekends away, it drives comfortably at 60/70/80 and is a lot nicer to be in than my fiesta.

im chuffed to bits :)

ty for all compliments.

Even if it was a crap car I'm sure it's a win.

I don't know about anyone else I'd still be happy with a Reliant Robin for free if it had reasonable length of tax and MOT :p

Taking it in today to see what can be done with the original HU, see if it can take an iPod. Would be a shame to have to swap it out I quite like the look of it

The finish of the paint doesn't look to good up close either, looks like orange peal, how hard or expensive is it to sort out?

Very nice Focus you have got there mate :)

They are excellent cars to drive, I upgraded from my old MK5 Fiesta to a MK1 1.6 52 plate Focus a little while ago and it feels 100x better to drive on the motorway than the Fiesta did, it's soo comfortable :)

Is yours the 1.6 Petrol? If so what sort of MPG have you been seing on the motorways if you have done them yet? On my 1.6 I have been seing around 42mpg and I am pretty impressed, the best I only ever got out of my 1.25 MK5 was 35MPG. The Zetec SE engines are excellent (if yours is a 1.6 petrol it will still be a revised Zetec SE but your one has probably got the Duratec re-branding).

it is a 1.6 but the 115ps version, ive not done any motorway driving yet, my average mpg is showing at 39.x. which is 2 days worth of driving, and me having a bit of a play at times.

i am also upgrading from a mk5 fiesta, a 1.25 zetec. i got about 45-47mpg out of that, no motorways tho, just 5-10 mins journeys.

i think last year when i borrwed this car to go away i got 50ish down the motorway just doing 65-70.
