Table top that is 100cm by 75cm

Hi all

I've been Googling till I'm blue in the face for a table top that's 100cm long by 75cm wide. I have 4 Ikea legs already that I want to attach. I'm looking for a finished piece, preferably oak veneer. Does anyone have any idea where I might get such a thing?

Quickest and simplest solution. Most hardware stores will even cut the wood for you.

How about something like this, not cheap but solid oak will look much nicer, last longer and take on a patina over time.

A 1000mm x 750mm top will be between £131 and £262 depending on thickness and finish.

I bought one of these table tops the other day and cut it down to 105cm. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20117018

Not the easiest of things to do and it did take 1.5 hours. I only had a junior hacksaw and a knife

. You have to take the strengthen block out of the piece you cut off, peel off laminate and slid it back into the table top with some glue. I’m pretty surprised how well it look after I hacked it about.

Are you good with a saw? You may be able to do the same?

Stupid question, but with these what sort of legs do you use?

I *REALLY* suck with DIY stuff.

Sorry just read this bit "To be completed with 1 extra leg for increased stability" so you will need x5 legs.

Probably because it’s quite long and may bow under the weight?
