No. I said if Robboftw wanted to call joking around bumming that was fine, not that I actually wanted to start bumming although Baz has hinted you're very good at it. I don't know, these Chelsea fans, you give them an inch (leave it :p) and they try to take a mile.

What's this got to do with me? :(

Spoil sport.

No need to play coy about yourself and G|mp, we're all broad minded here.

We've had a row, I've had to sleep in the spare room for 3 days :/

You're all sinners! :(

You're young and blonde, so if I was you I would shut up before I put something in your mouth.

You sure got a pretty mouth boy.

ok the club decided to let go JC - no problem at all with that, maybe he isnt the player he was

the club lost out on Di Maria /Silva (if Chelsea ever went in for either Im not sure) - ok fair enough your evaluation of Silva wasnt what City were prepared to pay

but Yossi!!!! Surely thats just throwing money away - I just cant see why he is the quality of player CFC should be going after (especially after a pretty average two seasons with less pressure on him)

I'm not in a position to rate Benayoun having only seen a few appearances of his over the last 2 seasons and I only mentioned him in reply to Liverpool fans who it seemed would be delighted if they signed J. Cole as a 'replacement'.
Basically, someone who knows more about a player's ability/potentinal than you or I, rates YB above JC.

From what I've seen he's not as good as Joe Cole was before the loss of form/injury.

I can see why Chelsea didn't want to keep him but it's daft to sign pretty much exactly the same player for % Mil if they didn't want to pay JC's wages :/

Like has been said before though, none of us know what has happened to Cole, only Chelsea.

It's still only rumours as to YB's contract, but for arguments sake let's say it was £5m signing on and £75k pw, that = @£16.7m for the 3 year deal.
If we'd kept Joe for the same period paying him £120kpw that would cost @£18.7m.
Evidently money has nothing to do with either of these transactions.

I heard that it wasn't about the money with JC and Chelsea more to do with the length of contract

Even so, I can't help but feel they have let go a decent enough bencher to sign another one.

There's something that doesn't seem right about Chelsea letting Cole go.

Exactly my thoughts, unless Chelsea know of injury problems and don't want him sitting around earning a fortune.

He's not been the same since he got the whack on the head in the CL final, something popped in his head that day, I'm sure of it.

He has lost what little pace he had, but he is still a bag of tricks. I'd certainly have him as a squad player at Spurs, though I think he wants first team assurances that I don't think we can really offer him.
