Hi all,

What is the word called when a piece of music or tune plays in a Film,TV or play?

It's not actually a soundtrack but rather used to set the mood or feel of a part. I know it has a special word but I can't remeber what it is.

I wish more incidentals were released onto official sound tracks. For me they're often the music that really sets the mood.

I remember Transformers I releasing a second cd after the first was full of the pop/rock tracks.
