People saying thank you AFTER they have barged out infront of you!

ARGHGH!!!

Does this annoy anyone else as much as it annoys me? I get it all the time through Marlborough. People pull out of spaces or side roads right infront of you, causing you to stop or slow down as you werent making any signs that you were letting them out, and then they casually raise a hand or mouth thank you at you!

ARGH! I just lean on the horn or shout at them now!

Atleast they say thank you. I get people doing this and just carrying on like it was there right of way.

No, people who use their horn to "tell" people of annoy me.
horn should be used to warn people.

I only get annoyed if there are literally no other cars on the road and they could have waited for me to pass. If it's busy traffic I don't mind. If I'm going really quickly and they do it I sometimes don't bother slowing down and just overtake them.

If you didnt nudge out in London, you wouldnt reach your destination, so with that in mind, saying thanks helps take the sting out of being pushed in front of.

Of course some people cant stand that 2 second hold up and get the hump anyway, but thats ok with me.

Guilty as charged! Always say thanks when I push in, usually in traffic though on my local roads where I know I can always cut the queue

I'd never be let out if i waited on the kindness of people, i just give the hazards a quick flick to thank them for not going mental behind me. People seem shocked if i let them out or into my lane etc.., its like they can't believe:
A) An ethnic minority has showed kindness and not tried to rob or stab them B) A BMW driver is capable of such behaviour

Hahaha i try to stay out of Tottenham as much as possible, though it creeps into Edmonton a lot! Its not toooo bad though, seen much worse in Brixton/Peckham etc..

Barging in and then carrying on, fine, your just being ignorant.

But its when they barge in and then say thank you as if pulling out infront of me was perfectly acceptable and saying than you makes it alright?

Im not just talking about people who slot into spaces, im on about people who pull out causing me to suddenly slow or stop.

They're not really saying thanks, they're just acknowledging they were being a tad cheeky but realise it's better than sitting there all day.

If people weren't such an inconsiderate bunch of *****s, so so desperate to join the queue 50m up the road that it can take 5 minutes just to leave my road in the morning, I wouldn't have to barge out into the first vaguely makable gap I get.

If you can walk from the path to the centre of the road, you can get your car out. That is what my instructor used to say. Some people just like to be in front always and take offence at anyone pulling out in front of them even 50m away.
