What model one of 3 ...

So, I've narrowed down my "sell current car and get a cheaper car" to 3 possible models.

A Rev 4 (or 5 though a 3 would do just fine) Mk2 MR2
An e36 323i or 328i coupe (don't think I could live with the age of an e30)
An IS200

But now I'm stuck as to which one to actually get :(
An e36 is kinda ugly
An IS200 is a bit boring
And an MR2 is well ... an MR2, I've had a Rev 3 before, have/had a Mk3 .. so it's not anything "new", also they are starting to look a bit dated now and the Rev 5 is red, and I dislike red (after having 2 red cars in a row now)
 
Ah ok, get the Lexus or MR2 at least they wont break down often :)
 
We've got the IS200, its comfortable, good sound system, not the fastest, but it can move.

Also, never had a fault with it!

There isn't much of a demand for them used, and the non Sports are below the 2k range now (though they also don't have LSDs)
 
Some chalk & cheese choices there in the O.P.

I'd say e36 - like you I find the E30 just too old - that said a nice M3 Cecotto would be just fine thanks, shame about your £2k budget...... :D

The 328i is cartainly quicker than the 323i, some (myself as a 328i owner included!) prefer the power delivery of the 323i though - try both and make your own mind up.

Seems to me you have the speed option taken care of with the bike so perhaps a tidy 323i would be just the job?

I've had my 328i around 15months now , having paid just under £1k for it, I've spent nearly that again "getting it right" & servicing etc

Its not perhaps the cheaper option you seek.

They are cheaper to run than e38 7's mind you one of which I'm still looking for (again!)

You can't get a decent rev 5 mr2 for £2k, I had to pay £3500 to get a decent one out of the ones I looked at.

I know of one that is for sale for that low, freaking miles away from me but have a mate going to check it out as he is local to it

I dont really care what rev it is as long as it's 3 or above anyway
 
Maybe I should also consider MX5s, even if they are prone to leaking and rusting sometimes :/
