im trying to overclock my 5850

i bought the his 5850 on friday and put it in my system saturday morning, i tried using ati overdrive to oc the card a bit but it only lets me take it to 775gpu & 1125ram so its hardly worth bothering with

i downloaded afterburner but for some reason it isnt saving any of the changes i make

Ditto, I used the overdrive to max mine but it doesn't go far.
I believe there's some issue where only certain makes/models of the card work properly without having to fiddle too much.
Haven't yet tried anything yet myself but will be watching this thread for tips

In MSI, beside the Profiles at the bottom, there is a padlock, make sure this is unlocked Before you change and save a profile?

just checked and its unlocked but thanks for the tip
the only reason i want to oc the card is for bad company 2
for some reason my peformance is the same nomatter what graphics settings i have it on tho so maybe i should oc my processor instead

What's your full specs mate? Bad company 2 love lots of cores and ghz.

i keep meaning to oc the processor as i have a titan fenrir cooler installed that i bought with overclocking in mind
i just keep putting it off but i think ill give it a go now
