No more putting batteries in the correct way ?

Wow he's annoying. I also don't see why people would need this, if they're too stupid to put the battery in the right way around then they shouldn't be allowed to use it :p

Very good idea though, nice and simple.

Annoying person. Only watched 2 minutes, but he's just repeating himself, coulda said the same thing in 5 seconds.

Wow, I'm always having problems with putting batteries in the wrong way round! :p

Still, if microsoft can make it relatively cheap and license the tech out, while I doubt it will revolutionalize lives, I think it will become a part of every single battery operated device, so I suppose from a monetary standpoint of MS, it'll be a success.

There's usually a little picture (engraving) showing which way it goes in, or typically the spring goes to the "-" end. A solution to a problem that never existed? I've certainly not found it a problem before! Mabye some people have trouble seeing the little picture

Extra wires/sheet stamping required to have the redundant connections.

Possibility of bad manufacturing/random fiddling causing short circuits since both terminals are now on flimsy metal stampings millimetres from each other instead of the length of a battery.

Fail when you need chains of batteries end to end (e.g. torch) - you need them to all be the same way round.

Instead of what is currently here which is:

Things not working when you put the battery in
Physical blocks moulded into the plastic which prevent incorrect insertion

Gonna need a crowbar to make that niche market.

Phew!
That's the battery problem solved then.
What's next? A solution to the problem of upside down coffee cups when you are pouring coffee?
FFS.
