Essential XBox 360 Games?

I am also a pc gamer mainly. I have all the 360 exclusives you mention, Fable 2 is good but the only game worth buying the console for is Forza 3.
Don't forget GT5 is out in October/November (I think)

I didn't like forza 3 cant put my finger on why though just couldn't get in to it.
I think if it had better car psychics didn't even look like the cars had roll or suspension ? weather and night time etc it would be a better game.

I enjoyed shadow complex might be worth a stab on xbox live arcade

Body roll? It certainly does have it. It's what keeps my Beema off the track :D

It's my second day of playing and although I'm getting to grips with it I'm uncoordinated as hell! How long did it take people to get used to the control pad? This is my first foray away from the keyboard and it's frightening!
 
Took me about a week to get fully comfortable with the pad - knowing the buttons without having to look ;) 'where's the A button?!?!'
 
You decide against waiting out for the new xbox? :p

I'm hopefully getting the new one, providing I don't have to camp out, this thread will be looked at!

My first console since I had a playstation back in the day... been a long time! first game is going to be CoD MW2 I'm afraid haha
 
Gears of War overrated? By who? It's a very solid shooter, and so is its sequel. The co-op stuff is ace, Horde mode in GoW2 is fantastic - it doesn't really get any better for online laughs if you have exactly five players - and the single player campaigns are good, solid fun. I don't remember any reviews or anyone particularly overrating either of the games. Nobody has ever called them the best game ever, but they're certainly essential 360 titles.

What I meant was that the cars just felt like flat objects hovering above the track at least it gave me that feeling personally.
 
FIFA 10. It's consumed the last week of my life.
Also seconding Red Dead Redemption and Forza 3.

I strongly disagree with that. Didn't get on with them at all. And furthermore, three years since the release of PGR 4, it's looking real ugly in comparison to other racing games. Don't even get me started on PGR 3's ugliness. It's not just about graphics, but urgh! Gameplay wise, never liked it - it doesn't know what it is. Arcade or sim? It's in the middle ground of half-realistic and half-arcade, and it's just dull as a result. Horrible, dark "real-life" city tracks. Snore.

And be wary of any "screenshots", because photo mode magics them into something they're not.
