I dont post in here often but hope you guys can share your opinons :)

I filled in an online quote yesterday to get my alloys refurbed and then powder coated.
I got an automated reply soon after saying it will be roughly 305.50 depending on the extent of the damage (there not amazingly bad)

I have since had an email from the 'director' offering me a 15% discount if i book within 5 days which i bet every one gets. The new price is 266.73 so guys is this good deal?

Here's what they say they will do for the price:

Vehicle In for a day, Strip, Full refurbishment, Power Coat , Refit and Balance

I only paid £250 for 4 19" Porsche Carrera classic alloys to be refurbed at Lepsons. They did the full business right from removing the tyre to putting them back on and balancing. Did an absolutely first class job, highly recommended.

Just had the wheels on the missus's TT done

collected from our house, tyres removed, strip down, refurb and spray, tyres refitted and balanced and delivered back to us

cost was £150 ( would have been + VAT if it wasn't cash )

local company that does "shotblasting, powder coating and pait refinishing" they don't specialise in wheels but one of the local mobile refurb guys says he uses them when a smart type repair doesn't seem the thing to do

they are only a 2 or man company working from a yard, no website or anything

Ahh fair enough

My old man recently paid £260 to have 4x 16" alloys shotblasted/ refurbed, powder coated, then lacquered. That included removing/ re-fitting tyres and balacing.

I paid £240 for a set of 15" wheels to have the same treatment.

Your quoted price of £266 sounds fair to me providing they do a good job. :)

Cheers for the replies, there are some cheap prices being posted but i'm not sure they are offering the same as the company I quoted from. Still tempted!

Here is something I dont understand though. What the hell do you put your car on whilst the wheels are away!

With the missus's TT I borrowed a set

when I was going to have some done on the M3 I bought a rough set from Ebay with the intention of selling them again after
