Lord Mayor Apologises After His Trousers Fall Down in Front of School Children

England: Leicester´s Lord Mayor, Colin Hall, has apologised profusely over an incident which left him standing in front of pupils from three schools with his pants around his ankles.

Hall has been on a diet to reduce his weight which currently stands at 16 stone. He had been wondering how to publicise his weight loss. The ease with which his pants fell at the school event made his excellent progress clear to all present.

"Unfortunately, I had chosen not to wear a belt and the trousers came loose and fell. I would like to offer my deepest apologies to anyone who was offended by the accident," said Hall.

I don't know why but I had a good old laugh at this story, made an otherwise standard day better :p

*chuckles*

I'm surprised he didn't just buy new trousers, or at least wear a belt as it's fairly obvious if your trousers are a little too large (I lost 2 and a half stone and went from a 40" waist to 36"*)

*Rather annoyingly after I'd just bought a new suit.

Pupils from THREE schools and none of them had a camera phone at the ready? :\

Surprised that some stupid zealot didnt utter the "P" word what with the paranoia these days....

I'm confused as to how a grown man cannot sense his trousers are about to come down and stop it happening, especially whilst in front of an audience of schoolchildren. Unless of course he was fully aware and decided to let it happen...
