tell me what car i want to buy.

Again, I don't understand what "90s" is? In terms of build quality and design they are vastly different.

it's 90s in the same way that this is 50s

It means they feel like they were designed and built in the 90s. I'm not sure why that's not computing really, makes perfect sense to me

What happened?

Inspection 2, emerged from that remarkably unscathed though apparently there are signs of the radiator beginning to go again - 3 years after it was replaced. BMW really can't do cooling systems

Go and look at the interior of a Supra and a Soarer. Go and look at the interior of an RX8 or a 350Z or something. Then you'll understand.

Because the interior in a 200SX is quite frankly crap. What doesn't compute is that someone is willing to write off a decade worth of cars based on an experience in a car that has a notoriously poor interior.

reminds me of a knackered old previa taxi.

No, just doesn't want an old 90's car thats all! The interior on the Soarer and the Supra are barely any better, they were great back when we had tape walkmans and thought Gladiators was amazing but everything moves on.

simply put, for me to overlook that interior, i'd need an abiding love for the car. this is why the E36 M3 is on the list (note that i'd only ever consider estoril or techno violet on those since they're M-only colours on the E36)

Both of these colours were available on BMW Individual and are therefore found on quite a few non M cars. Techno Violet even found its way not 318Ti Compacts. Neither are exclusive M only colours.

Congratulations on finding the scabbiest Soarer interior known to man.

Anyway,

What I'm trying to say is:

This

Is different to this:
(Bad picture, but the only one I have)
Soar%2012.JPG

There is a far better quality in the materials used and most importantly to me, there is no acres of dull black plastics.

No, the Soarer's interior isn't amazing, but it certainly is a nice place to be. Certainly better than a 200SX anyway...

He didnt say it wasnt better he said it was 90's which it absolutely unmistakenly is! It's even got a tape player which has one of those pop-out buttons which mechanically ejects the tape! The font on the autobox looks like it's come straight from an episode of Red Dwarf!

It has velour seats!

The 200sx interior looks better to me in the two pictures you just posted. The soarer looks too much of a mix match as if they couldn't decide what they wanted so went for everything :/

Both still look 90's though :p

Both look different, yet both look 90's. Is that really such a hard concept to understand.

Anyway, why are we dicussing a Soarer when the OP has a budget of £6000? He should be able to get something from this Millenium at least...

No, it does not.

A) You cannot see the font in that picture.
B) It's font. Who cares?

Actually, it is this wonderful new material called cloth. Leather is an option on TTs.

Because £6,000 isn't really THAT much in the grand scheme of things?

It certainly isn't going to buy a well rounded "Grand Tourer" made in the last 10 years that isn't a complete and utter dog.

Without sounding like too much of a fanboy, Soarers represent brilliant value for money if you are one of the seemingly few people who can see past the fact that they are 20 year old cars. When the OP said that he didn't care about Image I thought he was one of those people.

(OP, genuinely sorry, I didn't mean to derail your thread this much!)
