Just bought a Toshiba Satellite L505-144

Just bought the following for £450, found it on the bay.

Quite happy really, I've been looking around for about a month now for a laptop which fits my needs (mainly movies, net & occasional gaming)

What are your oppinions on this laptop, did I really get it for a good price? ( I think i did !)

It's a good laptop for moving editing/media/general day to day activities. Wouldn't handle when gaming though.

£450 is a good price though.

Congrats on the new laptop, I just bought a Toshiba c650 yesterday which is pretty much the same laptop but with 2gb ram and a T3300 cpu.

I only really needed this laptop for internet use... not sure what it can handle gaming wise but not too concerned. As long as it can play casual games and such.

Why not? The CPU & Gfx card combo get some good results on the likes of cod4 etc ?

Probably ment for newer games. My c650 can also handle games like cod4... not with max settings but I can play it. Would never game on this laptop thought when my main rig has a 5850,
