Biggest house spider I have seen

My Dad was clearing out his shed today and found this monster, we managed to capture it and I'm going to keep it as a pet for a little while.

I have never seen one with a body so big, that beetle next to it is at least 1.5cm long, he has already paralysed it and is now eating it.

We have one of those in our shed. It has spun a massive web with a funnel. If you put an insect on the web, it rushes out, grabs it, and runs back into the funnel. I keep feeding it - although they really make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, I hate em!
 
Can't really get perspectivemon it's size. Looks a biggun! How about you man up and take a pic of him on your hand? :p
 
Yeah I had one like that in my shed. When I was clearing it out. It rushed pass me, and scared the crap out of me.

Im just glad it stayed in the shed and did not end up in my car. Imagine driving along and a spider drops on your lap. lol
 
I like tarantulas because they're simply nice to look at, but house spiders need to either die or get thrown out the house.
