...apparently:

Mods, apologies if this is the wrong section, but I feel this issue needs addressing as apparently the EU court has ruled that the initial delivery charge should be refunded in cases when goods are returned under DSR. I'm not aware of ANY online PC component retailer who does this at the moment, and I'm not interested in the 'rights and wrongs' of such a ruling, but rather a discussion on whether this will be adhered to...?

Note, it does not need to refund the cost of returning those items.

Cheers,

Simon

Would an e-mail to a don/Spie have not been sufficient enough, instead of starting a topic that is only going to go one way?

Most retailers will deliver the replacement free of charge. Effectively refunding the intial delivery to pay for delivery of the replacement.

edit: nevermind didn't release this was about returns not replacements.

I am. If the goods are returned at least the seller would still have the value of the goods but then are down on the out going shippings costs, which is never cheap. In the end the costs will just get added on to the item cost to cover the 1 in 10 for example where the problem occurs.
